We would assist in facilitating the evacuation of Nigerians willing to leave Ukraine, as soon as the airports are opened- FG

 The Federal government has promised to evacuate Nigerians who are willing to leave the country as soon as the airports in Ukraine are opened.

In a statement released by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Francisca Omayuli, the Nigerian government is surprised by the invasion of Ukraine by the Russian military.

He further added that the Nigerian Embassy in Ukraine has reassured the safety of Nigerians in Ukraine, stating that measures have so far been put in place to keep them safe and facilitate their evacuation if they wish to leave the country.
