The Katsina state capital has been ardoned with an array of grassroots leaders under the aigies of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON).
According to an invitation sighted online from a friend who pledged anonymity and confirmed lately by ALGON National Publicity Secretary Hon Hamisu Anani Mohammed, the Association is having its National Executive Council Meeting (NEC) in the state with other activities to address it's concerns.
It is playing host to over 60 attendees drawn from its NEC members, Board of Trustees (BOT), Technical Adviser, Special Assistants, Management and some development partners.
The Engr Bello Lawal Administration is the just two months on the saddle sequel to the expiration of the tenure of its immediate past ALGON National President Hon Aminu Muazu Maifata who handed over in Lafia at its last meeting.
Further investigation revealed that the meeting across the Zone, an initiative of Hon Alabi Kolade David administration and preceded by the immaculate past National President Hon Aminu Muazu Maifata and has gained momentum in the recent time with some NEC members having hosted in their states of origin like Delta, Kano Enugu, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, and Katsina presently.
Some development partners with ideas to partner with ALGON on capacity building were in attendance. A courtesy call to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Katsina state Mallam Dikko Umar RADDA (PhD) CON is part of its agenda.
A communique is expected at the end of the 2 day meeting.
