Dr. Ben Nkechika, a renowned human capital development expert and Health management Consultant, has congratulated Hon. Engr. Bello Lawal, the ALGON National President, for receiving the Award of Excellence from Kita Local Government Council in Katsina state.
According to him, this prestigious award is a testament to Engr. Lawal's outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence, particularly in his role as the 12th ALGON National President.
Dr. Nkechika praised Engr. Lawal's landmark achievements, including his innovative approaches to governance and his efforts to consolidate existing gains.
He also commended Engr. Lawal's leadership during the 51st National Executive Council meeting, which evidently demonstrated his commitment to continuous innovation and progress of the 25 years Association.
According to Dr. Nkechika, 'The Award of Excellence is not only a recognition of Engr. Lawal's individual achievements but also a testament to the positive impact of his leadership on the local government sector in such a short time". As Dr. Nkechika further noted, Engr. Lawal's leadership has shown promising signs of paradigm shift for the overall objectives of the 3rd Tier of government and for posterity, the signs are there and are essential for effective governance and development.
Dr. Nkechika also urged other Chairmen across the 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Area Councils to seize the opportunity to deliver quality services to their constituents, especially in rural areas which is the only government at the bottom of that pyramid where expectations are high.
He emphasized the importance of maximizing their potential as leaders to positively impact the economic wellbeing of their communities.
